ActiveWorx – Delivers Enterprise Accounts Payable Management to the Cloud

ActiveWorx will introduce the latest version of the Enterprise Accounts Payable Management Application, Managed$Pay™ 6.0, at the IBM Information On Demand 2013  conference in Las Vegas, November 5, the company announced today.  The new solution will feature a significant upgrade in the system architecture and expand functionality designed to broaden the application’s business value outside of the accounts payable department.

“Our goal,” said Lawrence Henry, ActiveWorx’ financial products manager, “is to allow Managed$Pay™ to offer value beyond the accounting department to address other operational needs. We are very excited by the new functionality and the extensibility of the new system.”

The new application is built on the ActiveWorx Intelligent Platform Framework and leverages IBM’s award-winning Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Intelligent Capture technologies.  The new ActiveWorx framework significantly upgrades the system architecture and offers additional extensibility to address other business financial applications such as travel and expense management, purchasing cards, and corporate credit card management.  This release will also add support for IBM FileNet 5.2 and IBM WebSphere 8.5 platforms.

“We have  modernized and upgraded the entire user interface to offer a faster and more user-friendly design,” said Marty Michael, CEO of ActiveWorx.  The goal, said Michael, was to streamline the overall user experience and to extend the functionality to more corporate users.

Michael explained that the new Managed$Pay solution will be the cornerstone application embedded in ActiveWorx’s new cloud-based solution, code named Demand Center.  Demand Center, planned for release early next year, will offer business critical financial and human resource applications through a subscription-based cloud solution powered by IBM’s award-winning ECM platform.

Since joining ActiveWorx in March 2012 as the CEO, Michael has directed a migration of the company’s applications to cloud-based solutions. “We are striving to become the industry thought leader in helping companies migrate their business to the cloud,” Michael said. “ActiveWorx is focused on the migration of content-centric applications where the need to manage unstructured data, documents, and other content offers customers a tremendous return on their investments, enabling them to deploy solutions quicker and for less cost.”
